Rick leaves specific instructions for Duc -- in addition to the customary Dan Henry -- near the end of the first day's ride. He apparently doesn't want to hear the same bellyaching as on the previous year's ride, when Duc got lost at the end of a long day and wandered through Kenlake State Park looking vainly for the campground.
