July 6, 1998 Hi Brenda & Bill, We rode 65 miles from the north side of Lake Anna to Charlottesville. It was a beautiful day — low 80s, rolling to hilly terrain. We can see the mountains in the not-far-away-enough distance. We stopped at a nice country store at Kent Store, run by some yuppies. Stopped at an old cemetery and roamed around looking at names and dates. Spent a couple of hours touring Monticello, an amazing place. It was on top of a mountain and was a good climb. But then all downhill to Charlottesville. Spent the evening eating Chinese and using the Internet at the University of Virginia library. Having a fun time with Don and Mary Margaret.
